Q: What is Ellery Queen's profession?

Ellery Queen

Answer: Not so surprisingly the pseudonymous Ellery is a writer of detective fiction.

His forte is collecting and analyzing the clues in his father's cases. Queen authors, cousins Frederic Dannay and Manfred B. Lee, devised an interesting metaphysical conundrum when they created a fictional author who writes detectives stories about his own fictional exploits. There were thirty-three novels and many short stories, beginning with The Roman Hat Mystery (1929).
