FREDERICK HIGHLAND

Born on the Eastern seaboard, Frederick Highland writes both fiction and non-fiction and has been a former editor and founder of several publications. His writing credits include fiction, creative nonfiction, a collection of short fiction and commentary, The Mystery Box, and his most recent publication, Ghost Eater.
Beginning with Peace Corps service in the South Pacific during the 1960s, Frederick has traveled widely, and lived at various times in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. He has worked as a sailor in the merchant marine, as a tropical agriculturist, and as a university professor in Literature and the Humanities. He holds the MA & Ph.D. in English from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Creative Writing Program and has published over one hundred articles and short stories.
Highland's professional writing affiliations include membership in Mystery Writer's of America and the Writer's Unit of the American Philatelic Society. His philatelic memberships include the American Philatelic Society, and the American Topical Association His contributions to education have merited biographies in Who's Who in American Education and Who's Who in the West.
