TAILOR The craftsman at right is cutting fabric while his assistant fits a dress on a lady of fashion. Tailoring was another guild in medieval Europe in an age where style and manner of dress were often regulated by law. The art of tailoring is often overlooked, even though " [the tailor] must be able not only to cut for the handsome and well-shaped, but bestow a good shape where nature has not granted it.
